Taking Sides: "Loveless" by My Bloody Valentine Vs "Lustra" by Echobelly

"Loveless" - largely tuneless drivel and likely only to make you cover your ears as such pish as "Blown a Wish" might indicate. REALLY rather dreadful, those who pretend to like it only do so cause it's "technically clever". Never mind that you can't make out any of the words and the "tunes" sound like a wild animal being strangled.

"Lustra" was Echobelly's third and, to this day, last album. It's got the fabby "Here Comes the Big Rush" on it, it's full of catchy poppy tunes and it's a fine little Britpop album.

Winner: "Lustra" by Echobelly.

"Pretend to like" I thought people stopped being so fucking insecure by the time they turned 12.

I like "On" more than "Loveless" but I still like MBV.

If I ever get off my ass and make an album I hope somebody describes it like this.

My Bloody Valentine!

I work in construction. My idea of a fun time is a long ride on my bike.

I think it is because we all secretly love Calumn because he provides us the opportunity to be snidely clever to another ILM poster without ever having to worry about making a real enemy that could cause us difficulties in the real world.
