as of tomorrow at 7am, two buildings who house some of the most brilliant musicans i've ever met (as well as a few dozen punks, artists and wonderful people) will be demolishing.
i've seen so many wonderful bands in these two buildings; the best night of life hands down was halloween 2003. lighning bolt, sightings, usaisamonster, the wrangler brutes, rah brahs, prurient, barnacled, the white mice, vincebus eruptum, the japanese karaoke afterlife experiment and many others played. on the poster for the gig there are joke band name also listed: "imminent eviction" and "hello, i'm the fire inspector" among others. it was funny at the time. maybe when the floor started to bow/collapse that night (during lightning bolt) we all should have realized that something like this was going to happen. the next night, november first, the lotus & hale zukas played next door. shows every few days, amazing musicians, amazing environment, amazing people.
feel like shit.
why you care: maybe your Load Records releases for the new year will be delayed.

I don't know much about this situation but it sounds likely that these houses may have needed to be condemned.
being temporarily homeless >>>>>>>>> being dead
