Right, it seems no-one's ever mentioned the genius of Alan Moorhouse. I know him from cheap, charity shop records where he does orchestral, novelty pop released as cheap, cash-in products like his 'Beatles, Bach and Bacharach Go Bossa' or 'Hits in a Swinging Military Style'.

Thoughts? Recommendations?
