Since people here are so fond of lists, I decided to put up one of my own. Looking at my record collection, I decided to make a list of my top 40 LP's from 1993-2003. That period was chosen because that's roughly the time I've been an active record buyer (I was 14 in 1993). The list is quite subjective, since I mostly listen to electronic music and rap; also, there is only record per artist on the list, otherwise some artist might've got more. There are bound to be omissions, because I simply can't afford to buy every record I'd like to own from that period. But anyway, here's the list, feel free to comment...

That's a really good list, full of excellent non-obvious stuff. But I would make a very obvious addition - my favourite album of that period,
Selected Ambient Works Vol 2 by the Aphex Twin.

As people here know, I'm not a big Aphex Twin or IDM fan, but admittedly I've never listened to SAW 2. Maybe some day I'll give it a try...
