Who's worse?

I gotta go with Chester being the wacker of the two. Fred ALMOST held his own on that Method Man track, no?

I don't believe Chester rhymes, though. He just provides the adolescent histrionic bleating. It's that other gent (Mike Shinoda) that "raps".

yeah, its actually the other guy that does the "rapping". i actually somewhat like Chester's voice, if only he would use it on some decent music.

Mike from LP over Durst any day! how is this even a question?

Here's how -

Fred is to hip hop what Kingdom Come is to Led Zepplin
BUT
Shinoda is to hip hop what Smashing Pumpkins is to Dizzee Rascal

This is a highly insightful comment.

Chester.

I remember noticing on that Xecutioners track that his voice worked well in that kind of "voice=additional instrument" way. I mean, his voice was reasonably good, but I don't remember what he was saying and I don't remember that his flow was anything that struck me.

forgot a dash: X-ecutioners

This is great. I love the "who's worse?" Linkin Park dude actually makes Fred Durst sound almost bad instead of whatever it is he is. I don't think there's really a word negative enough in the English language for either of these guys. I really feel kinda bad for saying that but FUCK

And those fucking Linkin Park videos!

Johnny Badlees (crispssssss), Saturday, 24 January 2004 15:55 (twenty-two years ago)

now that i know that the linkin park dude is a bunnybrains fan they are my new favorite band.

Bunnybrains+Linkin Park=A New Direction For Rap-Metal?

Fred was better than Shinoda back in 2000 when he was unashamed to use his own whine-style, but Results May Vary show him a little intimidated by the hatorade and starting to sound a bit generic. But anybody who likes the Beastie Boys in any period shouldn't fool themselves into thinking that Fred isn't rapping pretty damn well on songs like "Nookie," "n2gether Now" and "Livin' It Up"

Anthony Miccio (Anthony Miccio), Saturday, 24 January 2004 18:23 (twenty-two years ago)

I was with you, AM, until that last sentence, tho I will give you "n2gether Now" as an example of Fred rapping "pretty damn well", & the Ben Stiller shout-out (just because).

David R. (popshots75`), Saturday, 24 January 2004 18:43 (twenty-two years ago)

While he has me with "Ben Stiller, you are my favorite muthafucka!" there's way more gold than that on the track.

Anthony Miccio (Anthony Miccio), Saturday, 24 January 2004 18:49 (twenty-two years ago)

To me this is a "dog crap or cat crap, which is crappier?" kind of question.

Mike Salmo (salmo), Saturday, 24 January 2004 19:51 (twenty-two years ago)

intimidated by the hatorade

:::shudder::::

Can we please retire this hackneyed cliche now?

Alex in NYC (vassifer), Saturday, 24 January 2004 21:59 (twenty-two years ago)

I'd rather we took it to tha next level
