Is there a way to extract video files off a CD single onto PC, for example?

speaking of which has anyone managed to run the extra features on the Air CD?

it's very easy if you just want to copy a music video from CD onto your hard drive. don't let the CD autoplay - cancel it and then right-click 'open' the CD drive icon on your desktop. you can view the contents of the disc and select the video file (usually .mov, .avi or .mpg) manually and just paste it somewhere else.

Could you then burn it to a DVD?

steve, often the clever manufacturers encode the video file as something OTHER than normal MPG/AVI/MOV files.

I've got about twenty Enhanced CDs (singles/albums) with video material, and all of them are either MOV, AVI, DAT or MP(E)G files - sometimes they're tucked away in sub-folders, but I've yet to see any cleverly scrambled files.

Depending on the capabilities of the DVD mastering software you're using, you can either use these files directly or need to convert them to the DVD's MPEG-2 format first.

I don't have DVD mastering, I was going to burn them to disc as they are and see if my DVD player might play them as is. (It does play MP3 discs)

What you think?
