Lots of Who threads lately and the POX was obviously weighed heavily to 1965-1970. So this POX is a lot tougher... POX post-1974 Townshend. That means Who By Numbers and later, but you can include his solo albums if you really really want to.

"Eminence Front"
"Empty Glass" (the song)
"Blue Red And Grey"
"Dreaming From The Waist"
"Keep Me Turning"
"Rough Boys"
"White City Fighting"
"Who Are You"

Hmmm.... tried to think of two more but couldn't. Ehh, add in a couple more songs from Rough Mix then.

"Give Blood"

I always really liked that song. Gilmour plays some great rhythm guitar using that delayed tone that he used on "Run Like Hell" and Tony Levin lays down a great rubberband sounding stick bassline.

three years pass...
"Secondhand Love" appeared on random play today and I think I'll have to add it.

Yeah, that's an especially good track.

sixteen years pass...

When was this recorded? I was looking at the original for something, and this cued up automatically:

Of course it's not as great as the original. But there's something there that I do find moving (even if it goes on a minute longer than it needs to).

Mid-'80s? He talks a little about it when introducing the performance on Deep End-Live! in '86.

I've heard Dave tell this story with the addition that when Pete first called him he thought someone was taking the piss and it took a bit before he realized what was going on.

Apparently he called Dave Wakeling to ask about the chords.
