shot in the heart is an amazing book. otherwise, though, I don't really know his writing (haven't read ANY of his music writing).

i read that collection of his rock writing (tho not shot in the heart) a few years ago. i think it epitomizes the concept of "dull but worthy."

i must agree with kyle above. "shot in the heart" is a rivetting read. in regards to his childhood,it's amazing that he appears to have turned out a normal as he has. recommended.
