Am I the only one who likes Scott Weilands solo album?

Just wondering...

I started thinking about this because of the Bush/STP thread. I really like his solo album, especially "Barbarella." Am I on an island on this one?

Unless Miccio steps forward, I'm wagering the answer to your question is "yes."

I've only heard "Barbarella" and that had loads of neat sounds. The acapella section in which Weiland says
"These Tangerines Taste Like Jelly Beans"
and sometime later
"I'm a selfish Piece of Shit"
is pretty memorable.
I'd pick it up used if I could be guarenteed that their were other tracks as fun and unpredictably pretentious as the single.

the other good tracks are 'desperation #5', 'jimmy was a stimulator' and 'mocking bird girl' if i remember right.

I like it! Never owned it, but I have a friend who was very into it. In fact, when I played her a Brad Mehldau cd, she said, "Hey, that sounds like the piano player on Scott Weiland's album."

I think the majority of it is really cool. I saw Scott Weiland do a solo show once too, which I remember being a good time.

haha, the opening to Barbarella is classic

You play the game
I'll masturbate
And sing a lullaby

I remember thinking "Weiland won! He beat addiction and he made a great album that people won't dig for many years".
