Fuck you. Read my first response, moron, BEFORE you make idiotic statements. And please, never make assumptions about someone, asshole.

The album is just awesome. I think Breakdown is great (especially the climatic "does your love only come... in a Volvo?"). I think they should have dumped "Animal Lover" and stuck "My Insatiable One" and "To the Birds" in the middle (or maybe as the opening two tracks). But, all in, still one of my top 10 albums ever. I like "Dog Man Star" better. They never topped the first two albums, the "Stay Together" EP and the B-sides. For two years I honestly think they were the best, and sexiest, band ever.

I saw them once at Evol in Edinburgh; the bloke was complaining to me that someone was giving abuse to him for being English. I felt a bit sorry for him as he seemed close to tears, but couldn't help having a bit of a laugh given the hard image they were putting out in the press at the time.

Fast Britpop anthems they did better on "Coming Up". But when it comes to slower atmospheric tracks, they have never ever been better than on the debut.

"Pantomime Horse" is a total rip of "That Joke Isn't Funny Any More" tho. And Flying Saucer Attack's "Drowners" tops the original. I've come to love "Breakdown" more than anything bar "She's Not Dead", but I admit I thought it was snoozy at first.

Compare the codas. "Tried it that way, have you ever tried it that way" etc vs "I've seen this happen in other people's lives"
Sharkboy supported Suede when I saw them, either a couple of days before or after Suede was released. I thought they was meh, but that's the curse of unknown support acts, innit?
