reaction sheets

ie. those bits of paper sent out with promos. do people really pay that much attention to them? have you ever filled one out? how honest are people when they fill them out (eg. they might be less inclined to react badly if they think they are going to stop getting free promos sent?) are there certain types of music that send these out more than others?

(i'm finding the lack of reaction to this quite amusing)

the lack of reaction kind of sums the whole subject up. over the years i must have been sent several thousand of these and have NEVER filled one out (well, maybe the first couple of times i got sent free records). there are always threats to get kicked off the lists but they never seem to amount to anything.

however, with email it became a lot easier to jot a couple of lines down about each record that way. but, i'll still only email a reaction if i love the record. the promotion companies also phone up nowadays and get the reactions over the phone which is also a lot easier.

but, overall, reaction sheets = a resounding DUD!

i've never gotten one of these with any of the hundreds of CDs I've received over the past 3 years.
