TOM SCHARPLING'S BEST SHOW.

I think there is thread on this already.

ddb (ddb), Monday, 14 June 2004 18:25 (twenty-two years ago)

I am doing a LISTENER HOUR in July. More details forthcoming.

hstencil (hstencil), Monday, 14 June 2004 18:28 (twenty-two years ago)

Oh wow, that's great, Hstencil. It's too bad that I'll probably miss that, since I don't really get to use the computer much on weekend mornings and that show is not archived.

My two favorite shows on WFMU are Tom Scharpling's Best Show, The Speakeasy, and the Professor's Audio Kitchen. Of the current music programs, I recommend Ken, Irwin, Brian Turner, Jantine, Michael Goodstein, Monica, Downtown Soulville, Sinner's Crossroads, and OCDJ.

Three favorite shows, that is.

AdamL :') (nordicskilla), Monday, 14 June 2004 18:47 (twenty-two years ago)

Lou Ziegler was just added to the schedule, and his fill-ins have been pretty good.

I listen at work, I have no idea what the shows are, everything seems completely random. Which is the way it should be with radio.

Shakey Mo Collier, Monday, 14 June 2004 18:50 (twenty-two years ago)

maybe I'll blackmail Brian into archiving mine...

hstencil (hstencil), Monday, 14 June 2004 18:53 (twenty-two years ago)

Oh good. I was thinking of "rotating hosts."

Matthew Perpetua (Matthew Perpetua), Monday, 14 June 2004 19:30 (twenty-two years ago)

I did a listener hour august before last... a great experience.

also I'd recommend Downtown Soulville & Brian Turner's show

autovac (autovac), Monday, 14 June 2004 19:43 (twenty-two years ago)

As much as possible. It's just about the sole radio station that I can stand listening to in America (the only exception being WREK in Atlanta).

Joshua Houk (chascarrillo), Monday, 14 June 2004 23:15 (twenty-two years ago)

things lose meaning over time (Dr Morbius), Saturday, 15 November 2014 15:01 (eleven years ago)

It's a pretty good film with an inevitably narrow focus in 76 minutes.

Too much Kenny Goldsmith, obviously.

pleas to Nietzsche (WilliamC), Friday, 20 May 2016 18:28 (ten years ago)

h. stencil's show archive is mysteriously missing from the Listener Hour Archive page upthread, although the show is listed! Did he curse?

Three Word Username, Friday, 20 May 2016 18:59 (ten years ago)

no clue

one of mine is there (4/9/05)

we can be heroes just for about 3.6 seconds (Dr Morbius), Friday, 20 May 2016 19:04 (ten years ago)

Enjoying it. If I mentally add 10 years of Weltschmerz, your voice sounds largely as expected.
