MP3 Equalizing Dorkery

OK, so I have an mp3 (siegbran's I Luv Poney, in fact), that I've discovered sounds awesome as it is, but off-the-scale-lifechangingly-great on a certain unexpected winamp preset setting. Is there any way I can edit the mp3 such that it sounds like this on a normal stereo, so that I can put it on a mix CD? I need a sound editor, right? Are they any freeware tools that can do this? Should I crack something?

Thanks!

Right, done! Woo.

Stevem: it's my "not waking up Alex in the room below" ones, weirdly! They look something like this:

They pretty much take vitalic out first and you sort of tune out, 'cos it's just "I luv U", innit, and then when it cuts out you start hearing him a bit, and then OH MY GOD WTF GLUED TO THE WALLS. If you're me, anyway.
