The currency of old topics

Do people actually read and stay current on old topics? The last post on that Chameleons "classic/dud" thread is dated 2003.

I would have gladly used the search function, but I don't want to bury my post either.

People do, largely because the majority of folks use the 'new answers' function for any particular ILX board rather than the 'new questions' one -- the advantage being that the 'new answers' shows you which topics are currently being discussed/posted to a lot, while old topics which are revived are then included with any newer questions as well. So it becomes a mix of old and new questions, and people add to the old questions as the topic comes up again. Trust me, people DO pay attention!

Oh, okay. Thanks.

Yeah, sorry to sound snippish, it's just that I know I had pointed out the search function before and was feeling a touch frustrated! Then again turns out you well knew about it, so shame on me.
