Very.

buy one, then buy another. then buy two more. they're all pretty damn good. _lovesongs_ sounds most 'normal'; the new one (the golden age? i think?) is really, really great (<-spelled correctly) and ranges from cheese-metal to stevie wonder-ish r&b to inspirational seminar soundtrack. superb.

turner, what people said last time

i bought his new album on thursday, although i haven't played it yet. to be honest, i bought it despite what everyone says because they say things that didn't endear, i'm not really even sure why i bought it. but, when i've played it i'll let you know what i think.

Hey, thanks Gareth. I had no idea this ground had been covered so recently.

I'm Listening to 'Golden Age' rite now. Too early for coherent thoughts, but I'm beginning to agree with what Andrew said on the other thread.

I don't listen to his records at home, but he is awesome live, Turner - sneak in or get fake ID if you can. He had a large band last time I saw him, and he did his costume changes at the side of the stage, in full view of the audience.

when i saw him (NYC, '96) he just sang to backing tapes, kind of seemed like a not very funny joke act. did i miss some important aspect of what he was doing? (this is *pretty likely*)

I believe that. He started out as a noise guy and has been around a while, but now he has a real rock band and all.
