Ugh! Sorry, no. Then again I'm anti NJS.

dog latin (dog latin), Thursday, 5 August 2004 14:05 (twenty-one years ago)

You are a genius and a god. Wow.

"Ditty"!!!!

VengaDan Perry (Dan Perry), Thursday, 5 August 2004 14:05 (twenty-one years ago)

Awesome. I'm especially fond of that Father MC cut.

jaymc (jaymc), Thursday, 5 August 2004 14:05 (twenty-one years ago)

You hate fun Dog Latin.

Dan, I will send you a copy. email me your business.

Velveteen Bingo (Chris V), Thursday, 5 August 2004 14:06 (twenty-one years ago)

dude...

kephm, Thursday, 5 August 2004 14:28 (twenty-one years ago)

on its way Kephm. You should get it tomorrow, I sent it this am.

Velveteen Bingo (Chris V), Thursday, 5 August 2004 14:31 (twenty-one years ago)

hey thanks

kephm, Thursday, 5 August 2004 14:39 (twenty-one years ago)

Johnny Gill, dude.

R.I.M.A. (Barima), Thursday, 5 August 2004 14:40 (twenty-one years ago)

I've just emailed you.

VengaDan Perry (Dan Perry), Thursday, 5 August 2004 14:40 (twenty-one years ago)

at the poopsmcgee email. I sent you an email from work.

Velveteen Bingo (Chris V), Thursday, 5 August 2004 14:52 (twenty-one years ago)

Unfortunately, I'd say this all goes downhill after the opener.
Relatively speaking, of course. The mix is good but "Do It To the Crowd" OWNS.

Barry Bruner (Barry Bruner), Thursday, 5 August 2004 15:27 (twenty-one years ago)

You'd think Twin Hype would have been more than a two hit wonder. "For Those About To Groove" is nice too.

Velveteen Bingo (Chris V), Thursday, 5 August 2004 15:40 (twenty-one years ago)

This is the expanded edition of the mix from the ile thread then? I must say, good work. So, so smooth. I'l probably end up having sex w/18 different ladies just by reading it.

artdamages (artdamages), Thursday, 5 August 2004 15:54 (twenty-one years ago)

I await my copy with interest!

Ned Raggett (Ned), Thursday, 5 August 2004 16:15 (twenty-one years ago)

These aren't mixed are they? Either way, goodlooking comps.

Except, what's up with the LL&CJ track on the second disc? I'm guessing you mean, "I Wonder If I Take You Home," which seems opposed to everything else (especially what comes immediately before it) on the disc.

Rich, Thursday, 5 August 2004 17:14 (twenty-one years ago)

i played this mix all weekend, smooth!

kephm, Tuesday, 10 August 2004 12:11 (twenty-one years ago)

Im glad people liked them. Enjoy.

Velveteen Bingo (Chris V), Tuesday, 10 August 2004 12:23 (twenty-one years ago)

That mix sounds like it would be awesome!

Leon Czolgosz (Nicole), Tuesday, 10 August 2004 12:24 (twenty-one years ago)

Nicole, if you want a copy shoot me an email. I'll send one out to you.

Velveteen Bingo (Chris V), Tuesday, 10 August 2004 12:29 (twenty-one years ago)

It's very well worth it, I shall be listening to disc two here in a sec.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Tuesday, 10 August 2004 14:50 (twenty-one years ago)

I'll let y'all know how an indie crowd at a bar reacts to "Iesha" being flung into the mix tomorrow. I love this comp so much.

Disc 2 I'm going to save for nights of quiet storming.

CeCe Peniston (Anthony Miccio), Tuesday, 10 August 2004 15:08 (twenty-one years ago)

"storming" = masturbating

;)

Velveteen Bingo (Chris V), Tuesday, 10 August 2004 15:09 (twenty-one years ago)

quality time with the one I love

CeCe Peniston (Anthony Miccio), Tuesday, 10 August 2004 15:12 (twenty-one years ago)

thats mainly what i use it for.

Velveteen Bingo (Chris V), Tuesday, 10 August 2004 15:12 (twenty-one years ago)

After it being so many years since I've heard it, "Iesha" is ridiculously alien and weird, in a great way. In fact half that disc might as well be an IDM prototype without anyone wanting to admit it.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Tuesday, 10 August 2004 15:12 (twenty-one years ago)

btw I kinda forgot how beautifully amateurish ABC's vocals are. And that Michael Bivins tells us to check out verse 2. Buckle the fuck up!

CeCe Peniston (Anthony Miccio), Tuesday, 10 August 2004 15:13 (twenty-one years ago)

I want to play "It Feels Good" tonight but I'm worrying people will find the "Tony Tony Tony has done it again!" to be a little smug.

CeCe Peniston (Anthony Miccio), Tuesday, 10 August 2004 15:14 (twenty-one years ago)

you should totally play Twin Hype.

Velveteen Bingo (Chris V), Tuesday, 10 August 2004 15:16 (twenty-one years ago)

Oh and I also read today that New Edition has a new release due out on 9-28. On Bad Boy no less. Puffy knows how to make hits.

Velveteen Bingo (Chris V), Tuesday, 10 August 2004 15:17 (twenty-one years ago)

WORD!

CeCe Peniston (Anthony Miccio), Tuesday, 10 August 2004 15:18 (twenty-one years ago)

Im kind of surprise that you all have never heard "sometimes I rhyme slow", it was a big hit in worcester....and we know worcester sets the stage for big hits.

Velveteen Bingo (Chris V), Tuesday, 10 August 2004 15:20 (twenty-one years ago)

i heard that song like 20 times a day in high school

|a|m|t|r|s|t| (amateurist), Tuesday, 10 August 2004 15:21 (twenty-one years ago)

Yeah, no memory of it all. It's quite the revelation.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Tuesday, 10 August 2004 15:22 (twenty-one years ago)

me too. one summer a few friends and mine drove up to Hampton Beach and listened to the cassingle the whole ride up there over and over again. 2 hours.

Velveteen Bingo (Chris V), Tuesday, 10 August 2004 15:22 (twenty-one years ago)

does tracy chapman justice.

Velveteen Bingo (Chris V), Tuesday, 10 August 2004 15:23 (twenty-one years ago)

Mad Cobra on disc two was pretty nice -- I actually really like the blend of Eurorave/hip-house/etc. throughout the mix, spikes everything well. And a Ready For the World song that isn't "Oh Sheila"! (Which I am hearing right now.)

Ned Raggett (Ned), Tuesday, 10 August 2004 15:30 (twenty-one years ago)

maybe i should send this mix to my friend having the baby.

|a|m|t|r|s|t| (amateurist), Tuesday, 10 August 2004 15:38 (twenty-one years ago)

Strikes me this is the mix you'd send to him when he was planning on making one.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Tuesday, 10 August 2004 15:59 (twenty-one years ago)

it's a her!

|a|m|t|r|s|t| (amateurist), Tuesday, 10 August 2004 16:12 (twenty-one years ago)

To the aforesaid entity.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Tuesday, 10 August 2004 16:13 (twenty-one years ago)

Dog Latin hates NJS?! My initials are NJS!

Sick Mouthy (Nick Southall), Tuesday, 10 August 2004 16:20 (twenty-one years ago)

Looks good. Any plans for a mid 90s follow up?

the neurotic awakening of s (blueski), Tuesday, 10 August 2004 18:29 (twenty-one years ago)

VengaDan Perry (Dan Perry), Tuesday, 10 August 2004 18:50 (twenty-one years ago)

Mmmm, Kwame. The Silkk has got to go, though, that song still makes me physically uncomfortable.

nabisco (nabisco), Tuesday, 10 August 2004 18:52 (twenty-one years ago)

Yeah, and I haven't heard that mp3 disc yet, so poo on you.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Tuesday, 10 August 2004 18:52 (twenty-one years ago)

sometimes i gaze shoes sometimes i raze booze, Tuesday, 10 August 2004 19:03 (twenty-one years ago)

Velveteen Bingo (Chris V), Wednesday, 11 August 2004 10:36 (twenty-one years ago)

Velveteen Bingo (Chris V), Wednesday, 11 August 2004 10:38 (twenty-one years ago)

Ah, the 'sex you up' disc

Ned Raggett (Ned), Wednesday, 11 August 2004 10:48 (twenty-one years ago)

You need some MC Lyte & LL, man. Also, En Vogue!(?) Also, Peabo Bryson's "Can You Stop the Rain"! Also, "SWEEEEEEEET LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE"!

David R. (popshots75`), Wednesday, 11 August 2004 11:53 (twenty-one years ago)

as well as some maxwell, carl thomas and jodeci.

Velveteen Bingo (Chris V), Wednesday, 11 August 2004 11:55 (twenty-one years ago)

It was a very laidback night last night, but when I threw on "Iesha" some folks got HOG WILD out there on the floor. I'm a little worried that ending indie night with a half-hour of new jack swing might keep me from getting to DJ again, but it's a hell of a way to go out. Graci, Velveteen Bingo.

CeCe Peniston (Anthony Miccio), Wednesday, 11 August 2004 14:36 (twenty-one years ago)

Nice!

Ned Raggett (Ned), Wednesday, 11 August 2004 14:41 (twenty-one years ago)

I totally remember "Sometimes I Rhyme Slow," but for some reason I thought it was by someone else. I can't remember who.

jaymc (jaymc), Wednesday, 11 August 2004 17:57 (twenty-one years ago)

CHRIS V YOU ARE A GOD AMONG MEN

VengaDan Perry (Dan Perry), Wednesday, 11 August 2004 18:02 (twenty-one years ago)

Do a little ditty if you
Want to
Because then I can see if I
Want you

PAPERBOY '08 (Dan Perry), Wednesday, 11 August 2004 18:07 (twenty-one years ago)

However, VB, you put any Boyz II Men on this, and I will disown you. You even place a copy of _Cooleyhighharmony_ near the PC while you turn & burn, I'll know, and I'll find you, and I'll BBD your East Coast Family, dig?

David R. (popshots75`), Wednesday, 11 August 2004 18:59 (twenty-one years ago)

NOT YOUR PUPPET

dean? (deangulberry), Wednesday, 11 August 2004 19:04 (twenty-one years ago)
