the australian band. slow, beautiful melodies, dark, wonderful, a shining light. some of you probably know them already, more of you need to.

just bought their second (proper) album "second storey" yesterday and it's an amazing record. dark, melancholy, sad, they sound so resigned, but at the same time it's cathartic, and almost uplifting..

it's darker, perhaps a little less catchy, but a more cohesive work. it sounds like it was written as an album, which can't really be said for wires

nine months pass...

their latest album has been out in the UK on bella union for a number of weeks now, anyone here picked it up? there seems to be a decent amount of love in the reviews i've read..
