Wild Planet - electron is brilliant. really crazy, distorted filtering.

I wished she would come and play in the UK - preferably Brighton.

Where did "Dresden" come from?
― Michael F Gill (Michael F Gill), Monday, 16 August 2004 13:46 (twenty-one years ago)
Apparently it is out on CD in Europe now. Only 13 songs, but it seems like a lot more. It's like a combination of her two mixes so far, with a rather raw/big room type sound. The Schaeffel track she drops sure was a surprise.

Cos I thought "Flieg mit Ellen Allien" was kinda boring compared to "Weiss mix" but this looks more varied. Exciting.

Order it direct from the bpitch website. I couldn't wait & have had it for what seems like ages now!
Yeah, it's sick.
I was a little thrown at first by the more conventional acid-house parts, but soon realised the old school flavour wasn't all it had going for it. It's also really moody, emotional and body-rocking. In comparison to the "wtf is going on?? (in a good way)" here vibe of weiss.mix it's different, but every bit as good. In short, a grower.
Oh and 'Dresden' is a tune she released on her (kaput) previous label "Braincandy" (from 1995? I forget) you could download it off her website for a while, and even at 56kbps it was a keeper.

Tracklisting for the Ellen Allien (minimal, on-site)mix: 1. Caustic Window - 'Joyrex 2' e.p. (White)2. M83 - 'Runintoflowers' (Gooom)3. Ambit3 - 'Enwrapped' (Finalfrontier)4. Gridlock - 'Engram' (Hymen)5. Afx - 'Men2' (White)6. Goldchains - 'Let's Get It On' Ellen Allien remix (BPitch Control)
Another (terrific, and live) 80 minute on-line mix - http://www.ump3.de/content/ellen_allien_autobahn_liveset.html
Haven't worked out all the tracks, but some are Sachsa Funke 'Forms & Shapes' EA remix, Apparat 'Fuse (ellen allien vox), MDSLKTR, Feadz, Kiki and Sascha Funke again with 'Semi' ... and lots of stuff that isn't bpitch that I don't know, some nostalgic acid-house, some dancepunk, some punk.. -disco? I won't spoil the surprise (an audacious selection!) some very minimal tech and a shed load of properly hi-energy dance music.

I love BPitch Control. They are incredibly efficient at sending stuff out (I only ordered this on Saturday night from the UK) and I just get really excited when the parcel arrives.
Yeah, this is quite different from Weiss mix, and quite big and bold, but it sounds great.
Incidentally, re UK appearances, it looks like Ellen and Michael Mayer are at Fabric in London on Saturday 25 September:

otm (imo) I'm not going to get my hopes up the new ones will be on quite the same level, plus a Fabric and a Boogybytes seems kind of redundant somehow, that said the latter's been put back for now, Modeselektor get #3.
