Going to see them (along with Floatation Toy Warning and the Earlies) tomorrow night.

Like the album, has anyone seen them live?

Just wondered how he does it, I was under the impression he was basically a one-man-band.

How are they? Touring US soon, including the week I'm in San Francisco (Popscene).

Never seen them live, but I'm pretty sure the album was recorded a couple of years ago before he got a band together.

Filter has an mp3 of 'Venus In Cancer' up:

Apparently the band has just signed to V2 in the UK and is recording a new album to come out in January...

rediscovered 2010's 'road eyes' recently and been playing the heck out of it like i used to before i completely forgot about its existence somehow for years. def ranks v highly among the best neo-shogaze/dreampop albums for me. so huge sounding and beautiful and full of satisfying chord resolutions and melodic flourishes and momentum. super impressive record imo <3

also digging the first solo-produced record, which i never checked out before, and the couple of new tracks they've put out in the last year or two after a long hiatus.. even though neither have the hyper sound quality or replayability of the aforementioned LA-produced album, still some sweet stuff in there!
