my uncle did a deal with harry nilsson at some point that involved george segal as well
and whoever was the beatles manager at the end (i think?)... these guys all bought a hotel
in utah (?!). they were all doing A LOT of coke. my uncle was in a mercedes with nilsson
and they were on their way to a meeting at some bar... they had a tough time finding
parking so they just stopped the car in the middle of the street next to a pretty woman
and gave her the car keys. when they got to the club george segal asked nilsson where
he parked because it had been so hard to find a space. nilsson evaded the question
somehow, but over the next hour george segal had asked a few times and began to
suspect that they had crashed his car, so he demanded to be taken to his car.... nilsson
was forced to fess up. they got in a fistfight. over the next few months george segal
sabotaged the funding for the hotel and it quickly failed. harry nilsson apparently had
flirted with mormonism during this time too... but i don't know that that had stopped him
from drugging.
it's a question but it's a story too.
