That's good. Really!

Maybe I should rephrase the Q. to like 75% original.

jim wentworth (wench), Sunday, 29 August 2004 03:55 (twenty-one years ago)

Closest i can get is 72.84% with the big neon Kraftwerk sign flashing in my head. The more i ponder the question, the brighter it flashes.

Well, wasn't the original aim of Faust to completely destroy all Western ideas of music they had floating in their brainz, and reconstruct music as an original form? Or something?

Nobukazu Takemura can be pretty damn original when he wants to. It's not necessarily a good idea, though.

Tuomas (Tuomas), Sunday, 29 August 2004 10:53 (twenty-one years ago)

john oswald. no precedent.

Has anyone ever made an IDM/folk record comprised entirely of acoustic guitar and farting? Cause if not, I know this guy who's 100% original.

nabiscothingy, Sunday, 29 August 2004 14:31 (twenty-one years ago)

you are the elephant in the living room.

cºzen (Cozen), Sunday, 29 August 2004 14:36 (twenty-one years ago)

Hopefully the elephant isn't the farter.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Sunday, 29 August 2004 14:44 (twenty-one years ago)

nabisco - there's a street guy here who does that already. except instead of a guitar he bangs on a plastic pickle bucket.

Kim (Kim), Sunday, 29 August 2004 15:03 (twenty-one years ago)

still farts though, right?

cºzen (Cozen), Sunday, 29 August 2004 15:19 (twenty-one years ago)

Oh yeah. It's the song topic even. something about "feels good to let it out" *bang bang* *farts* *bang bang*

Kim (Kim), Sunday, 29 August 2004 15:22 (twenty-one years ago)

quite disgusting.

cºzen (Cozen), Sunday, 29 August 2004 15:50 (twenty-one years ago)

Hopefully the elephant isn't the farter.

But if he can play guitar, you have to cut him slack (if maintaining a comfortable distance).

Rockist_Scientist (rockist_scientist), Sunday, 29 August 2004 15:52 (twenty-one years ago)

I would think the Residents were pretty goddamn original. (And I'm not even a big fan.)

M086 R.L. Stein "Pile Of Skulls" CASSETTE edition of 30, full color inserts. While on the Lotus tour, boredom prevailed. The roadies revolted and started a band of there own, enlisting Lotus' "jew" to "play" the six string, a new band was born. Soaked in blood they rained there terror up the east coast opening up the shows on the rest of the tour. "What do they sound like already??" u ask ? Think Harry Pussy, with faster more "hardcore" drums & sloppier guitar licks. This shit gives me goosebumps. Features ex and current members of Japanese Karaoke Afterlife Experiment & Ren's Communist Nachos.
