the sound of the west? yet, there is an old europeanism to him also, when listening without the films alongside?

in fact, without the visuals, his music seems different somehow, it is perfect for the films, yet, without them, it doesnt convey the same imagery, but something else, im not sure what...

he's not mentioned as much as i would have thought either, only one result pops up in the search thing. what say you about tiomkin?

Wild Is The Wind.....lovely.
Apart from that - in my head his work typifies that brass-heavy kind of Western score Morricone killed.
