Because they're undeniably two sides of the same coin, just created a quarter century apart.

Yeah, but "Glory Box" never reverts to guitar soloing overdrive and sustains the chill. So it wins.

"Dazed" is from the guy's pov, though, so the masturbatory solo section is requisite.

Beth Gibbons: "I just want to be ... a woman ... "

Robert Plant: "Ah, but that would involve your soul being CREATED BELOW!"

Good point, actually.

Also, "Daze..." has a great deal more menace to it, where "Glory Box" is just more about remorse.

Remorse always trumps menace in my book.

I'd like to read it then.

Well...I like "Glorybox". Like Beth Orton's singing, that tiny little baby-bird voice, the way she turns "temptress" into a 3-syllable word. And there's even a genuine guitar sololso I like But we're talking Zep here, and asking me to compare anything at all to Led Zeppelin is a rigged fight, the outcome is inevitable. So as a consolation prize, I'll just say that I like "Glorybox" better than the half-hour "Song Remains The Same" version of "Dazed And Confused" and leave it at that.
