Boot Camp Clik: S/D.

I bought Black Moon's "Total Eclipse" friday, and damn I like that record. I also own Heltah Skeltah's "Nocturnal" and Da Beatminerz' "Brace 4 Impak", and I have similar love to them too. So what other Boot Camp Clik stuff should I purchase? "Enta da Stage" would be an obvious choice, but a lot of rap from that era sounds kinda dated to my ears, I'm not sure whether that's the case here. Is the second Heltah Skeltah LP any good? What about other BCC artists, or the posse records?

Smif-N-Wessun DAH SHINING, Black Moon's Enta Da Stage and OGC's Da Storm are all absolutely fantastic and essential. The rest of it, um, kind of slips off to my ears, but I will admit I've not heard all the 2nd albums, just a bunch of bits and pieces.

Keep an eye out for the remix of "Buck em Down" and the remix of "I Got Cha Opin", those are both great and not on the albums. I have the 12" of "Bucktown" that's one of my favorite songs ever.

Actually both of those remixes are on the Black Moon odds & ends collection Diggin' In Dah Vaults which has a number of other very good remixes of other Enta Da Stage, BUT unfortunately lacks the remix of "Opin"'s B-SIDE the absolute blazing "Reality (Killin' Every Nigga In Sight". Still it's totally worthwhile for remixes of "I Got Cha Opin" and "Buck Em Down" and also "Murder MCs" and "Six Feet Deep".
