She's got an album called "Gumbo", supposedly coming out on Featherperm records. Anyhow, it's pretty frickin' good. "Fantasy Pt. 1" is great.

Also, instead of asking a separate question, does anyone here like Sa Ra? I've spent the past three days search for a remix they did of a Dj Mitsu tune, but to no avail. Sure, they're very Gilles PEterson, but I like them.

sa-ra are wicked.

i met mitsu last week and from what i understood, the sa-ra remix was quite recent and isn't due to be out in awhile...

cybele (cybele), Monday, 11 October 2004 16:27 (twenty-one years ago)

Sure, they're very Gilles PEterson

Well, that's that. All my curiosity has just flown the veritable coop.

i missed his show (put on by the fresco guys who are throwing the bugz in the attic show this weekend) cos i went to see stewart walker instead; he and his mc (hunger?) were on my radio show earlier in the evening to promote the gig...

oh, my bad. i always misread ABB for BBE.

anyways, it's Foreign Exchange, and the record is "Connected". phonte from little brother and a producer he never met from i think sweden put that out. i never heard it, but heard it was cool

a guy i used to "know" from the interweb designed the artwork for both the Little Brother and the Foreign Exchange

cybele, i'm not sure how often you check here anymore, but i just got a bootleg copy of the Sa-Ra. it doesnt' look like i can email you, but if you want to email me, please do.

it sounds very electro prince/p-funk

JaXoN (JasonD), Tuesday, 19 October 2004 20:43 (twenty-one years ago)

wow, i'm totally feeling this album. it's like if jay dee did beats for funkadelic.

i'm so hyped on it i asked my best friend from LA if he had heard of them and looks like he knows all of them really well and even made some music with one of the girls. weird.
