On second thoughts, don't bother.

Stewart Osborne (Stewart Osborne), Wednesday, 13 October 2004 12:41 (twenty-one years ago)

What, no Blue Rondo A La Turk or Blue Zoo?

More seriously, no BLUE ORCHIDS??????????????

Marcello Carlin, Wednesday, 13 October 2004 12:45 (twenty-one years ago)

There was a Norwegian ATB wannabe act back in 1999 called Pacific Blue.

Geir Hongro (GeirHong), Wednesday, 13 October 2004 12:46 (twenty-one years ago)

Blue Aeroplanes and Blue Mink.

NickB (NickB), Wednesday, 13 October 2004 12:47 (twenty-one years ago)

Don't blame me, blame AMG.

Incidentally, if anyone can offer an explain of why the results of a search under "name" for "blue" on AMG inlcude Aphex Twin, Talib Qadir Kibwe and Jimmie Rodgers then I'd be fascinated to hear it.

Stewart Osborne (Stewart Osborne), Wednesday, 13 October 2004 12:50 (twenty-one years ago)

They didn't even have Barry Blue or Out On Blue Six - I had to dredge them up from my own subconscious.

Stewart Osborne (Stewart Osborne), Wednesday, 13 October 2004 12:51 (twenty-one years ago)

Screamng Blue Messiahs
Blue Oyster Cult
Blue in Heaven

....each light years better than the bands cited above.

Alex in NYC (vassifer), Wednesday, 13 October 2004 12:53 (twenty-one years ago)

But still not one of them on AMG's list.

Stewart Osborne (Stewart Osborne), Wednesday, 13 October 2004 12:54 (twenty-one years ago)

Blue Oyster Cult is, no?

Alex in NYC (vassifer), Wednesday, 13 October 2004 12:55 (twenty-one years ago)

Blimey I wrote about Barry Blue on my blog today!

Marcello Carlin, Wednesday, 13 October 2004 12:56 (twenty-one years ago)

Stewart Osborne (Stewart Osborne), Wednesday, 13 October 2004 12:57 (twenty-one years ago)

"Blue Oyster Cult is, no?"

No.

Try it for yourself.

Aphex Twin, Talib Qadir Kibwe and Jimmie Rodgers but no Blue Oyster Cult.

Stewart Osborne (Stewart Osborne), Wednesday, 13 October 2004 12:59 (twenty-one years ago)

Shocking Blue?

NickB (NickB), Wednesday, 13 October 2004 13:00 (twenty-one years ago)

That's rather significantly fucked up. Not because BOC are the bee's knees or anything, but rather because they are a bit of a household name by this point.

Alex in NYC (vassifer), Wednesday, 13 October 2004 13:01 (twenty-one years ago)

Call me old Mr. Logical-Trousers if you will, but failing to include BOC is merely an omission (albeit, to be fair, quite a significant one).

To have included Aphex Twin, Talib Qadir Kibwe and Jimmie Rodgers in the list however, appears to me to be a fuck up of gargantuan proportions.

Stewart Osborne (Stewart Osborne), Wednesday, 13 October 2004 13:06 (twenty-one years ago)

fucking blue cheer. thats my list.

peter smith (plsmith), Wednesday, 13 October 2004 13:08 (twenty-one years ago)

Blue Mercedes (Tiga's essential inspiration)

Freelance Hiveminder (blueski), Wednesday, 13 October 2004 13:19 (twenty-one years ago)

Babe The Blue OX >>>> any of the above

zebedee (zebedee), Wednesday, 13 October 2004 13:21 (twenty-one years ago)

what about Deep Blue Something?

jedidiah (jedidiah), Wednesday, 13 October 2004 13:27 (twenty-one years ago)

What about them?

Stewart Osborne (Stewart Osborne), Wednesday, 13 October 2004 13:29 (twenty-one years ago)

"Breakfast At Tiffany's" makes me wanna NUCLEAR HOLOCAUST IN TWO SECONDS!!!!

Marcello Carlin, Wednesday, 13 October 2004 13:31 (twenty-one years ago)

has there ever been a worse chorus in the history of pop music?

jedidiah (jedidiah), Wednesday, 13 October 2004 13:34 (twenty-one years ago)

I presume you mean "a worse chorus that wasn't written by either Sting or Bryan Adams"?

In which case, possibly not.

Stewart Osborne (Stewart Osborne), Wednesday, 13 October 2004 13:51 (twenty-one years ago)

i stand corrected

jedidiah (jedidiah), Wednesday, 13 October 2004 13:57 (twenty-one years ago)

Well, sometimes it can be difficult to sit down for a while after you've been really rigorously "corrected", can't it?

Stewart Osborne (Stewart Osborne), Wednesday, 13 October 2004 14:05 (twenty-one years ago)

Deacon Blue are best blue?

the bluefox, Wednesday, 13 October 2004 14:24 (twenty-one years ago)

Deacon Blue are best tarred and feathered.

That episode of Rab C Nesbitt which took the piss out of them was a classic.
