Honorable mention: Ali Aldik Aloush, Spanish Harlem Orchestra Across 110th (which might end up in the top five), Grupo Niche Imaginacion, Tito Nieves Fabricando Fantasias, and maybe Gilberto Santa Rosa's Autentico.
[Oh god, Cheo Feliciano with Joe Cuba playing now on the radio. I need to just get everything they did together and get it over with.]

The New Hood ep (The Lost You) is fantastic. The full length isn't due until January.
― Ryan WS (fffv), Sunday, 7 November 2004 05:36 (twenty-one years ago)
Yes, it's a personal thing though. "Be Your Girl" is good and a real grower but nowhere near being one of the top tracks. Really I'm voting it up there for "Backstroke", the title track, "For A Lifetime" and "Last Day", which I've been listening to over and over and over again and have taken on some sort of emotional resonance for me. There's about another four tracks or so that are ace too though, making it a very strong album by R&B standards.
First listen to the Stina album suggests it *will* crack top five easily.

Cartooom! is more pastiche-like, there's more spaciness, insanity, samples, d'n'b, funk and hip hop, the production is a little more refined and there are more in-song switchups. Fluxblog has an mp3 of 'The Martin Show' up now, though I can't get it.
