Who needs a song about atheism when you can have a whole album:

Shelley Segal - An Atheist Album
Over the last few years I have become involved in the secular movement.
I feel quite impassioned by the fact that some laws are in place solely to appease the religious lobby. (eg: Marriage Inequality, Euthanasia, Abortion)
I feel as though many ethical discussions that our community needs to have are held back because of irrational and unscientific ideas.I think that generally people are not taught how to think critically and logically, which is becoming an increasingly important skill in the increasingly dynamic society in which we live, where the decisions we make today can have deep consequences for our future. The debate between religious and secular world-views is nothing new. I have written this album firstly as an expression of my honest response to these issues.
Also, I hope to bring this essential and interesting discussion into the public discourse. This is a topic which is not so readily delved into.
I don’t claim to have all the answers or that my world view is without flaws. I just want to encourage genuine skepticism, inquiry and discussion when it comes to important issues.
I believe that no opinions or beliefs are beyond criticism, no matter how sacred they may be.
I can handle having my views scrutinised and challenged. In fact, I welcome it.

I actually like the song whose YouTube video I linked quite a bit.

oh so the album is actually called 'an atheist album'. :|
well i happen to agree with everything written in that description... but the song is way too straightforward lyrically for me to care. it's lacking in any semblance of subtlety, much like the album title. sonically it ain't my thing either.

I'm sure Jethro Tull's "Cross Eyed Mary" goes along with "Wind Up"; I think several songs on Aqualung are supposed to be about that. I've heard that John Lydon cited these songs as an influence.
I'm surprised nobody has mentioned Public Image Ltd's "This Is Religion"
I think some songs in Eloy's Ocean are anti-atheist.
Also I think the final track on Antonius Rex's first album is an anti-atheist song. I love that album but the way he describes it in an interview, how threatening this should be to atheists is just silly.
As I was reading about Christian Death and the members going in and out of Christianity (I think Eva O dropped Christianity a while ago), I found something odd, Goths For Jesus...http://www.angelfire.com/scary/g4j/index2.html
I know there are Christian black metal bands, but it must be tough going for some Christians who are big black metal fans. It would bother me if I were into religion.
I just realised I've been spelling "atheist" the wrong way for years, as "athiest".
