Yes! Finally a DVD collection with Peter Gabriel!

Finally found the DVD in the shop that I have been waiting for for years.

Out of all acts, nobody else has been able to deliver so many videos of consistently high quality, and if there is one act out whose videos are worth having collected on DVD, then Peter Gabriel is it.

Sure, I know Pet Shop Boys have a huge following in ILM, and I have their DVD collection too (love it, particularly their comments while watching their old videos). A decent Talking Heads video compilation will also be a must have. But still, nobody can quite beat Peter Gabriel. Sure, the music is great too, but when it comes to great videos, nobody else is up there with him!

I'm shocked (well, maybe not shocked) how poorly several of his later videos (as opposed to the early ones) have dated. "Steam," in particular, looks like it was made on someone's laptop over a weekend. "Digging in the Dirt" is still pleasantly lo-fi meets hi-fit to me.

steam is terrible and it's a terrible song. really his best videos are the darker ones (the matt mahurain mercy st. for instance).

Does this collection have the live concert version of "In Your Eyes" (duet with Youssou N'Dour, etc.) on it?

The "In Your Eyes" video seems like a studio one. There are a few live tracks, although some, like "I Don't Remember" are crowded with non-live scenes.

Personally I absolutely love his animation videos, and I just can't get enough of them. Sure "Sledgehammer" remains the original, but he was stretching things even a bit during the 90s, making the videos at least look more impressive (although development in technology meant that, really the 80s stuff does of course remain the more impressive given the technology of that time)

I think most of the songs are on his recent compilation, which was the first appearance of "Lovetown" (underrated song and video!) on a Peter Gabriel album.

There are some extras, mainly a couple more videos.

steam is the worst video ever except the part with the girls in the shower going from side to side
