The Michael Jackson Box Set.... C/D?

Okay. This is the best thing I've bought all year. You heard me. I'm probably alone in this, but... I can't believe how surprised I was by these tracks all these years later. Some of the unreleased stuff from the Thriller era is absolutely fantastic pristine pop. "Toxic" and "Rock Your Body" pale (pardon the pun) in comparison.

Thoughts?

"fly away "was brilliant rebbie jackson recorded it
"streetwalker" ,resembled the way you make me feel and rocked
"somewhere in the dark"and "carousel" were ok
i think there were only 4 unrelaesed songs and a spanish version of "i just can't stop loving you"

Could've used some of his outside work, like 'Muscles' for Diana, and 'Centipede' for Rebbie.

But did he record demos for those? I don't think songs performed by Diana Ross (or Roxwell or The Simpsons for that matter) would belong in a Michael Jackson box.

MJ has tons of demos and unreleased songs he could have put on this. hes just reselling the same classic material (well apart from blood on the dancefloor and its ilk) again.

See above, Hongro.

Come to think of, is 'State Of Shock' on this? Funny how he pretty much reclaimed it as his own after Victory came out, especially as he thinks less than nice thoughts about Jagger's singing.

My main issue with this box set is that they seem to have put way too much empasis on the post-"Bad" part of his career. I mean, there is no "The Love You Save", no "Show You The Way To Go", no "Blame It On The Boogie", no "Can You Feel It". Instead you have "Scream", "Childhood", "Butterflies" and "Unbreakable". Hardly career highlights any of them.
