"Only After Dark" and the title track = CLASSIC!!!!! The other classic Mick Ronson track you must own is "Billy Porter" from "Play Don't Worry"...

Have it. It's great. (Better than Play Don't Worry, though "Billy Porter" is terrific). I also like the song "Growing Up And I'm Fine" a lot. Very Bowie.

Not yet mentioned: he covers Annette Peacock's "I'm The One" and covers her cover of "Love Me Tender." Annette's versions are better, but Mick's aren't bad.

He does another Peacock track on Play Don't Worry: "Seven Days."

Second "Only After Dark" -- maybe the glammiest track, and a real groover.

"Growing Up and I'm Fine" is the only song that I have heard and it's great. I look forward to hearing more of his work someday.

four years pass...

"Music Is Lethal"---such a well-arranged song. Evidently it's a Bowie translation/rewrite of an Italian pop song from the early 70s, by Lucio Battisti. Has anybody here heard it? How similar is the Ronson version? Ronson's vocals kill on this too.

The Battisti vocal is thinner than I'd expect for such a massive arrangement. But it's a great song. Bowie adopted the arrangement from the original, I can now hear, in particular the helicoid strings. Ronson's solo adds a helluva lot though.
