Good VST Plugin sites

I've just started getting into using audiomulch to process my guitar and as a tool in its own right. Does anyone know of any good VST plugin sites, freeware especially?

I only know these ones so far, and these only because the have been recommended. I haven't checked them out properly yet.

Here's a "Freeware" site:

Actually I've used those MDA ones before. Not the most audophile VSTs, but they are stable and use a low amount of CPU.

And they're FILTH! Utter, beautiful, evil filth. Sometimes that's what's needed.

This is the best site for info on plug-ins:

http://www.kvraudio.com/

Do a search for free/freeware in the plug-in index or in the forums.

A Bit Torrent site that may be of interest is:

http://www.audiofarm.cc

Audiomulch is one of the most beautiful (to use) progs ever! I recommend it to everyone interested in making a noise:

yeah, kvr is the big daddy of vst sites.
smartelectronix is great. also check out krakli.
that audiofarm looks intriguing, but seems like i can't register without an "invitation code".....

I think if you keep checking Audiofarm they open registration ever so often. Or look for this guy on 50ul533k - alien_brain - he's pretty much always on and has a lot of stuff.

This cropped up yesterday:

I think he only posts links to free stuff (not sure). More generally, the del.icio.us page/feed for all users' VST-tagged links might be useful:

Be sure to check out the rest of the Smartelectronix stuff.

Also:

http://www.ohmforce.com/

Their "Frohmage" plug-in is an excellent free resonant filter. The rest of their stuff is pay, but the free demo versions are awesome for mangling stuff with.

fifteen years pass...

Has anyone got the Arturia FX collection? Seems like good value now it’s bundled.

^

This is a very good value bundle imo but the CPU load of some of the effects is enormous. I think the spring reverb plug-in takes up more processing power than the Arturia Buchla soft synth does.

This is worth the £45 just for Trash / Iris2 / Ozone 9 Elements: https://www.pluginboutique.com/product/81-Bundle/89-Complete-Collection/6140-Plugin-Boutique-s-8th-Birthday-iZotope-Bundle
