I saw all of these used today, and could not decide what to get. I ended up not getting anything, because I wanted to see what others thought of them. I will probably go back later tonight or tomorrow to pick some up.

The Wedding Present - Seamonsters (Remastered)
The Ramones - The Ramones (Remastered)
Of Montreal - Satanic Panic in the Attic
Olivia Tremor Control - Dusk at Cubist Castle
Les Savy Fav - Inches
Fiery Furnaces - EP (not used, but for $5 new)

Seamonsters = super-amazing, particularly if you're kind of grim and half-depressed and pissed off about something and like the idea of feeling evil for a little while. Also particularly if it's the 12-track version. Ramones = you know what the Ramones sound like; this is the Ramones; it's an "investment" CD insofar as you will bring it out for company and walking-around-town music in about the same way you would, like, Sly's greatest hits. Of Montreal = haven't heard anything since their first few. Olivia Tremor Control = despite reissue and all this doesn't sound as great to me, anyway, as it did when it came out; might get you if you're really into like Magical Mystery Tour and think more pop songs need woozy “Blue Jay Way” effects on them, but otherwise it’s just a fairly-good pop album interspersed with short sample-pastiche knick-knacks. Les Savy Fav = this is one of those things that I recognize and good but don’t particularly feel, largely because I’m not into “rock” rock “rock” in that loose-and-sweaty kind of way, or at least not when I don’t have drugs. Fiery Furnaces = you’re telling me you’ve done the albums and you’re still gagging for more? Listen to something new, geez.

olivia tremor control is classic, but that's just me.

a handful of lo-fi pysch-pop classics submerged in 76 minutes of crickets and noise collage.

i say def seamonsters and ramones, and whatever - 5 for FF's, i say go... OTC is worth it for "jumping fences", but a lot of the album is a lot spottier than most people like to think. i like Black Foliage better. cant say about the LSF or of montreal.

of montreal- i like most of that album.
i think that the olivia tremor control album that i really really love is black foliage, but they're all good... and fiery furnaces are good but don't make a lot of sense to me in my brain.
