ok, so I posted this on i love everything board, but was quickly told it was too music related (i thought it worked, but I don't want to step on any toes), so here I am. here's what I wrote:
i give it a resounding YAY. nice balance of trash talking brit and jennifer garner (that workout mix is REALLY astounding) and writing about good bands, and to boot, I think i love every single one of his "rocking the ipod" selections. archer prewitt, lou barlow, iron and wine, grizzly bear, low, ....(it goes on) Cheers to stereogum.com man for making another spot for us all to post comments at.

i love that site. a lot.

Definite classic! Stereogum is definitely one of my favorite music blogs, if not my very favorite. I only wish he'd post music recommendations more often since his tastes are so in sync with my own.

looks like owen and ericaaaa share more than just a taste for stereogum!

haha-indeed. high five! erica is here-maybe she was coaxed a little to get the ball rolling, just think this site is cool and people should check it out if they haven't already. no i'm not his friend either.

stereogum is okay. there's nothing really there for me aside from the odd scandalous britney pic, but he seems like a decent guy. at least he doesn't say "gully" and stuff.

that sounded a lot less pervy in my head.

it's true, he could focus a bit more on the music, but I like his lack of snobbery. and I like the mix--sometimes there are music blogs which are too self righteous, his I find to be a nice balance. and yes, we know you are going there for the britney/lohan/duff boob shots that he just happens across every other day

owen reading, Tuesday, 18 January 2005 03:33 (twenty-one years ago)

totally dude! i hate a solid 80% of the music he covers anyway.

mark p (Mark P), Tuesday, 18 January 2005 03:35 (twenty-one years ago)

you konw, it's true, i like his picks in his ipod section, but he doesn't really write about them, instead he writes about the dears and death cab. what da deally wit dat? why am I promoting his site? hah. no for real, i think it's funny most of all. i just ignore the bad music posts....

Stereogum is good, light fun. Scott's a good guy too.
