I wanna get this. I know they have it at the Sound Garden. I've heard one song via dleone's out-rock box and it's pretty awesome.

Great stuff, it's like Swedish krautrock or something, but without the Riley-isms of other like-minded Swedes of the time. Makes me want to ride a moose to space.

BTW, I also recommend the fairly recently released "Delayed", which is basically their follow-up, which for some ghastly reason didn't get released back then.

Also, I really like this band picture, which probably won't fit here: ihttp://www.silence.se/algarna/algarnaliten.jpg

The guys in the back look like they belong in the Notwist

I gave "Delayed" a listen, and didn't like it as much. Seemed more proggier, but maybe I'll give it a second chance. I agree that this one is Swedish krautrock. Also reminds me of Pink Floyd "A Saucerful of Secrets" record sans vocals.

"delayed" isn't nearly as good as "framtiden...", but few albums are. there are some really nice moments on it, though.

this was one of the first things me and my girlfriend bought at other music, back when it seemed like the land of infinite possible obscure prog/psych albums.

every song sounds like the last song on the record

I got a track off this from Prog Archives and it's great. Whoever mentioned Krautrock was spot on, it's really reminiscent of Faust. It never occurred to me this still be readily available.

It's because the CD is stuck in your player, isn't it?

but without the Riley-isms of other like-minded Swedes of the time.

I've got much much love for the Riley-inspired Swede stuff.

it's really reminiscent of Faust.

i don't hear that at all. maybe the production, a little bit.
