Just to get my shit straight - Yes didn't quote "Give Peace a Chance" in the original song's quota, right? Because RDJR (or RDJR as Jakob Dylan) sure as hell does!

(And, yes, I'm filing this under ASKING PERSONAL QUESTIONS.)

Yes did quote "Give Peace a Chance" in the original, you just have to listen closely to the background vocals.

They still quote it live, too, AFAIK...

Ha, just heard this for the first time. Not bad! Anderson on backing vocals too.

Haven't heard Downey's version, but yesterday I was listening to Steve Howe's all-acoustic Natural Timbre (probably one of the best albums he's recorded in quite a while), and there's a really excellent cover of "Your Move" on there (as well as "Disillusion" from "Starship Trooper" and "To Be Over" from Relayer).

It's incredibly faithful to The Yes Album version, except with guitar and related instruments handling all the parts, even the vocal harmonies (and yes, he still has the "Give Peace a Chance" quote in there).

If Yes is singing "All we are saying is give peace a chance," then is "I've seen all good people turn their heads each day so satisfied I'm on my way," ironic, in that, peace requires commitment, and people turning their heads, people being satisfied with people turning their heads, are not contributing to giving peace a chance? Well is it? JON ANDERSON YOU ARE ONE DEEP MOTHERFUCKER!
