Thoughts?

djdee2005 (djdee2005), Friday, 21 January 2005 15:38 (twenty-one years ago)

It's really good! It definitely has a real Eastern thing going on with the synths at times.

"tell yo lawyer take that civil case and drop it like it's hot" - I await the R. Kelly reply, heh heh.

haitchâ„¢ (haitch), Friday, 21 January 2005 15:54 (twenty-one years ago)

Havent heard it, but it seems like the worst idea for a song to remix ever. The beat is perfect, why bother with it?

David Allen (David Allen), Friday, 21 January 2005 15:59 (twenty-one years ago)

listening to it though, it's pretty significantly different. i like it, just like i like the original. there's plenty of my like to go around.

the leglo (the leglo), Friday, 21 January 2005 16:44 (twenty-one years ago)

I really like the jay-z snoopspeak verse.

deej., Friday, 21 January 2005 18:42 (twenty-one years ago)

m. (mitchlnw), Friday, 21 January 2005 19:43 (twenty-one years ago)

I really like the jay-z snoopspeak verse.

Really? I'm not feeling it. Too many izzes.

Jeff Reguilon (Talent Explosion), Friday, 21 January 2005 20:38 (twenty-one years ago)

h to the izzo, v to the izzay

Tracer Hand (tracerhand), Friday, 21 January 2005 20:41 (twenty-one years ago)

The Good Dr. Bill (The Good Dr. Bill), Friday, 21 January 2005 20:59 (twenty-one years ago)

Man that's awesome....is Pharell the first to get a Artest/Wallace brawl reference on wax....I was waiting to start hearing stuff about that.....that Jay-Z verse is soo soo soo soo hot.....really awesome...

M@tt He1geson (Matt Helgeson), Saturday, 22 January 2005 18:26 (twenty-one years ago)

I'm totally shocked that jay-z didn't say retired, incidently.

djdee2005 (djdee2005), Saturday, 22 January 2005 19:34 (twenty-one years ago)

This is great! Best Neptunes groove in ages, since "Milkshake" really. Jay-Z hot hot hooooot.

Tim Finney (Tim Finney), Sunday, 23 January 2005 13:56 (twenty-one years ago)

I think he said that he would keep doing guest shots, just no albums (for a while).

Jordan (Jordan), Sunday, 23 January 2005 14:43 (twenty-one years ago)

Can someone set up a new YSI link? I couldn't download it.

Mike O. (Mike Ouderkirk), Sunday, 23 January 2005 19:46 (twenty-one years ago)

yeah that link didn't work for me either. they've got it in realaudio on allhiphop.com right now, though

Al (sitcom), Sunday, 23 January 2005 19:48 (twenty-one years ago)

The Good Dr. Bill (The Good Dr. Bill), Sunday, 23 January 2005 20:05 (twenty-one years ago)

I'm all about this beat despite the fact that it doesn't touch the original. Really icy.

thank god i ain't too cool for the safe belt (smile), Monday, 24 January 2005 02:31 (twenty-one years ago)

There's a reason I put up two links, guys! The first one still works (or you could use dr. bill's)

djdee2005 (djdee2005), Monday, 24 January 2005 02:35 (twenty-one years ago)

poor jay-z, i hope when i retire, i wont have to keep working like he does.

titchyschneider (titchyschneider), Monday, 24 January 2005 10:38 (twenty-one years ago)

It is a hard-knock life for today's pensioners.

haitchâ„¢ (haitch), Monday, 24 January 2005 11:37 (twenty-one years ago)

Jay-Z is also working as a greeter at wal-mart.

deej., Monday, 24 January 2005 17:23 (twenty-one years ago)

I put up a new link, and this is yet another reason why 2005 is fucking rocking my world.

djdee2005 (djdee2005), Monday, 31 January 2005 01:50 (twenty-one years ago)

I heard this on the radio on Friday. Fuckin' amazing.

Alex in SF (Alex in SF), Monday, 31 January 2005 01:55 (twenty-one years ago)

snoop sounds like a tool but pharrell is hot like OHMYGOD. though i hope he stops bragging about guns before he goes out like phil spector.

vahid (vahid), Monday, 31 January 2005 03:33 (twenty-one years ago)

let my disclaim by saying that i honestly had no idea how rap-slangy my post sounded before i reread it.

vahid (vahid), Monday, 31 January 2005 03:34 (twenty-one years ago)

I always feel like these remixes come out too soon. The original beat is so hot, why can't this wait a little longer?

Hurting (Hurting), Monday, 31 January 2005 03:34 (twenty-one years ago)

three years pass...

this was fire
