song that goes: ...'row, row, row...'

there is this song i have not been able to find again since my childood. it is a hard rock/heavy rock/prog song from the 70s that got some radio play.

i've always thought it was blue oyster cult, but i've never been able to find the song (or if it is even them).

at one point, they sing "row, row, row" (or "grow, grow, grow," etc)

definitely not eno.

it's a 'hard rock' radio song. i can only remember the "...row,row,row..." part and the synth or guitar solo which follows it.

vauguely remembering something like:
"and the kid
with the power
to...row, row, row" [then a synth solo/'proggy' part]

it's been at least 20 years since i heard it, so forgive the lack of details...

Doesn't "Ups and Downs" by Grand Funk (on *On Time,* 1980) have some kinda "row row row your boat" round in it?
