Come on everybody clap your hands
Now you're looking good
I'm gonna sing my song and you won't take long
We gotta do the twist and it goes like this

Come on let's twist again like we did last summer
Yea, let's twist again like we did last year
Do you remember when things were really hummin'
Yea, let's twist again, twistin' time is here

Yeah round 'n around 'n up 'n down we go again
Oh baby make me know you love me so then
Come on let's twist again like we did last summer
Yea, let's twist again, twistin' time is here

Come on let's twist again like we did last summer
Yea, let's twist again like we did last year
Do you remember when things were really hummin'
Yea, let's twist again, twistin' time is here

Yeah round 'n around 'n up 'n down we go again
Oh baby make me know you love me so then
Come on let's twist again like we did last summer
Yea, let's twist again, twistin' time is here

I swear everything I've posted tonight I have already posted before on the exact same thread. Maybe it was during those 17 days that have since gone into internet oblivion, er sumpin.

fifteen years pass...

Recycling this old thread for the concept of musical deja vu: the feeling you have heard a song before when you are hear it for the first time. I am not talking about the way a classic song can sound vaguely familiar - I am talking about a song you could not possibly have heard before but you have a near memory of hearing.

Mine is Rush's "Tears" a minor ballad on Side 2 of 2112 (released in 1976), which was never released as a single, likely never played on the radio, and which was never owned by anyone I knew. I first heard it in 1988 when I got into Rush and immediately had the most powerful sense of deja vu of listening to this song standing in front of my dresser in my bedroom in our old house when I was a four years old or so, which is the age I would have been when the song came out. To this day I still get this feeling every time I hear the song. Is it that it is such a simple melody?

Anyone else have these moments of musical deja vu?
