Songs with awesome beginnings that are so awesome that they repeat completely in the middle

For example, in "Sabotage," the beginning is pretty great--and then halfway through the song the whole thing starts over, presumably because they realized that the beginning was the best part and they might as well include it twice.

I know there are a ton of songs that do this, but I can't think of any others.

It's not just that it sounds the same--there is actually a near-silence, followed by a build-up exactly like the one at the song's beginning.

mrjosh (mrjosh), Tuesday, 25 January 2005 02:09 (twenty-one years ago)

Well, not *exactly* the same, but it's the same idea at any rate

mrjosh (mrjosh), Tuesday, 25 January 2005 02:12 (twenty-one years ago)

This is like a really tough family feud question: "Name a song whose opening repeats again in the middle."

"Sabotage" is the number-one answer... what other songs do that?

Oh wait, I got one. The glorious cheerleading spell-a-thon that opens the Magnetic Fields's "Washington, D.C." It happens again midway thru.

Ever download two mp3s of the same song that have the same filename, but different bitrates? Once or twice I don't notice until I was halfway through an album and really displeased with how "repetitive" or "dragged out" all the songs are.
