I think the French are good in general at really evoking moments, especially in music. Air, Sebastien Tellier, Daft Punk etc etc.

I mean like specific times and places. For example - an outdoor scene shot on a certain film-stock in 1975. I think certain French artists are really good at describing what that sounds like. Y'know, "evocative" etc.
