Can anyone help me figure out this stupid minidisc recorder??

Recently made the switch from impractically gigantic but reliable digital 8 track to minidisc recorder. Got a Sony Hi-MD MZ-RH910 (the one with mic inputs). I only need it to do two things - record music and then transfer that music to my computer.

First off, I hate the thing - buttons too small. The instruction booklet is probably the least helpful I've ever read. I have, despite all of this, managed to figure out how to record, and I did do tonight. The music is on there, I can hear it through headphones. Since titling the tracks is confusing and time consuming, it is only listed on the LED on "Group 4" for some reason (default setting?). You can save things as a group, as a title, as an artist, as an album, etc etc - how fucking unneccessarily confusing!

But here's the worst part, and here's where you ILM techies come in. I connected the USB port to the computer, downloaded the software, etc. All seems well. But (and I'll try to explain this as clearly as I can) I cannot locate the music on the minidisc. There is no folder indicated from which to 'drag' or 'import' and the manual is NO HELP AT ALL. I'd think the manual would give you a step by step once you actually connected to the computer, but it seems to take for granted that everyone can just take it from there. I am extremely frustrated.

Can anybody help? I've gotta use this fucking thing for two months on the road but if getting the stuff on CD is this much of an ordeal, I'm gonna start looking into other ways....

i called tech support - apparently i don't have enough RAM to run the system properly (though that still doesn't seem like any reason I couldn't at least LOCATE the stupid files) - i have 56MB and need at least 64. What do I do now? How much is it to buy more RAM or whatever?

64 mb ram is dead cheap, like $10, if you can even buy that little any more.
