Going to my niece's high school graduation in suburban Mineapolis the weekend of June 3rd. Just saw where Caribou is playing at the 400 Club that Sunday night. I really wanna go but will have transportation problems. Does anyone know if there is train service to the city? If not, anyone willing to help a guy out with transportation?

Thanks in advance.

You might be able to make use of our questionable at best public transportation...where in the suburbs are you going to be?

This might be of use too.

The 400 Club isn't that many blocks off the transit rail line, right?

Which suburb?

Shoreview.

The map you provided seems a bit murky to me. I'll have to study it further. I guess I am spoiled by the public transportation system in the Northeast.

Thanks to all for your help.

Eep. Shoreview's the entirely wrong direction to be using the light rail line (which only services the south Minneapolis suburban area). Buses will probably have to suffice for you.

You will not find any sunday night evening transit coming to the city, let alone going back out to shoreview. Public transport in the TC is teh sux.

Thanks then, I'll try another angle.

Find a way to move the party down to the Mall of America... then you can use the light rail. (Unless it doesn't run on Sunday nights. I haven't used it myself.)

(... or the airport.)

public transportation in the twin cities is good but declining! i wonder how many people who complain about it actually use it much.

Probably not. We like complaining about the sorry shape of the highway system.

I use it a lot, and it's pretty fucking horrible.
