jed_ (jed), Friday, 3 June 2005 10:45 (twenty-one years ago)

What Does You Soul Look Like... Don't know which part; it's the second one on the single.

KeefW (kmw), Friday, 3 June 2005 10:49 (twenty-one years ago)

'midnight in a perfect world'

i am a pop kid.

N_RQ, Friday, 3 June 2005 10:51 (twenty-one years ago)

Lost & Found

NickB (NickB), Friday, 3 June 2005 10:52 (twenty-one years ago)

KeefW do you mean the one with the really long intro "one in a while you've got to play a card, and if you stay in the game long enough you've got to lose, and once you've lost there's no way back"? just 'cos they're in a different order on the CD and the vinyl.

jed_ (jed), Friday, 3 June 2005 10:53 (twenty-one years ago)

blackalicious - "swan lake"

(unless he did "blue flames", in which case that.)

strng hlkngtn, Friday, 3 June 2005 10:53 (twenty-one years ago)

Changeling

Sociah T Azzahole (blueski), Friday, 3 June 2005 11:00 (twenty-one years ago)

"Blue Flames" was produced by Chief XL (i just checked)

jed_ (jed), Friday, 3 June 2005 11:02 (twenty-one years ago)

Jed, the one that goes "We're beyond mass and energy, we're beyond even energy, what we're back to is the first thought" at the beginning, with basically drums and piano.

KeefW (kmw), Friday, 3 June 2005 11:10 (twenty-one years ago)

That was another Mo'Wax ripoff. There were two "What Does your Soul Look Like?" CD singles came out the day it was released. I bought both of them and they were exactly the same except in completely different packaging. Wound up giving one to a friend.

KeefW (kmw), Friday, 3 June 2005 11:12 (twenty-one years ago)

ah, that's part III, i often thought that "first thought" quote sounded like the big guy off Penn and Teller. the one i mentioned upthread is my favourite off that EP.

jed_ (jed), Friday, 3 June 2005 11:18 (twenty-one years ago)

haha, I choose the Mos Def remix of "Six Days"

nickalicious (nickalicious), Friday, 3 June 2005 11:38 (twenty-one years ago)

Okay, actually maybe actually "Blood On The Motor Way" though.

nickalicious (nickalicious), Friday, 3 June 2005 11:39 (twenty-one years ago)

'Midnight in a perfect world' all the way.

tipustiger, Friday, 3 June 2005 12:37 (twenty-one years ago)

I've always been partial to "Stem/Long Stem".

Gregory T (tubesocks), Friday, 3 June 2005 12:47 (twenty-one years ago)

Probably Giving Up the Ghost or You Can't Go Home Again. I still listen to the Private Press.

Jordan (Jordan), Friday, 3 June 2005 12:51 (twenty-one years ago)

High Noon

Cheek0 (Cheek0), Friday, 3 June 2005 12:53 (twenty-one years ago)

"High Noon" is the one I put on when I absolutely, positively HAVE to get something done in 3 minutes.

nickalicious (nickalicious), Friday, 3 June 2005 12:54 (twenty-one years ago)

What like, boiling an egg?

KeefW (kmw), Friday, 3 June 2005 12:57 (twenty-one years ago)

"Changeling" or "Building Steam with a Grain of Salt". Love 'em both, but actually they're the only Shadow I really listen to anymore.

Vinnie (vprabhu), Friday, 3 June 2005 12:58 (twenty-one years ago)

Napalm Brain/Scatter Brain

or maybe Six Days

Hurting (Hurting), Friday, 3 June 2005 12:58 (twenty-one years ago)

Maybe 'Mutual Slump'.

Orange (Orange), Friday, 3 June 2005 12:59 (twenty-one years ago)

'What Does Your Soul Look Like Part. 3 4 (Blue Sky Revisit)'.

bARMS, Friday, 3 June 2005 13:06 (twenty-one years ago)

What like, boiling an egg?

Or, like, pack a suitcase for a flight that leaves in 20 minutes!

nickalicious (nickalicious), Friday, 3 June 2005 13:15 (twenty-one years ago)

I'll bear that in mind next time I'm in a rush... Quick! Must slam High Noon on!

KeefW (kmw), Friday, 3 June 2005 13:21 (twenty-one years ago)

That was supposed to be "Part 3" and "Part 1".

BARMS, Friday, 3 June 2005 13:30 (twenty-one years ago)

Stem/Long Stem

kornrulez6969 (TCBeing), Friday, 3 June 2005 13:33 (twenty-one years ago)

Toss-up between "Dark Days (Spoken For Mix)" and "In/Flux"

Anybody else think "WDYSLL" is boring as hell?

Mr. Snrub (Mr. Snrub), Friday, 3 June 2005 15:51 (twenty-one years ago)

"Napalm Brain."

Alfred Soto (Alfred Soto), Friday, 3 June 2005 15:56 (twenty-one years ago)

High Noon or Midnight.

deej., Friday, 3 June 2005 15:59 (twenty-one years ago)

Organ Donor

The Lex (The Lex), Friday, 3 June 2005 16:04 (twenty-one years ago)

Midnight or Napalm.

I've really enjoyed the One Night in Bangkok boot and the Brainfreeze stuff as well...

KPH, Friday, 3 June 2005 16:16 (twenty-one years ago)

Definitely "Lost and Found".

MindInRewind (Barry Bruner), Friday, 3 June 2005 16:22 (twenty-one years ago)

tossup between "Changeling" and "Napalm Brain/Scatter Brain." The rest of it I don't listen to any more.

edd s hurt (ddduncan), Friday, 3 June 2005 17:42 (twenty-one years ago)

Photo finish between "Stem/Long Stem" and "You Can't Go Home Again!".

Telephonething, Friday, 3 June 2005 19:13 (twenty-one years ago)

Matos-Webster Dictionary (M Matos), Friday, 3 June 2005 19:33 (twenty-one years ago)

jed_ (jed), Friday, 3 June 2005 19:41 (twenty-one years ago)

Yeah, I was thinking that earlier... Hoped you might know!

KeefW (kmw), Friday, 3 June 2005 19:46 (twenty-one years ago)

angelo flores (flores), Saturday, 4 June 2005 02:19 (twenty-one years ago)

What Does Your Soul Look Like (Part 1-Blue Sky Revisit)

Tokyo Ghost Stories (Tokyo Ghost Stories), Saturday, 4 June 2005 03:21 (twenty-one years ago)

"High Noon" is the one I put on when I absolutely, positively HAVE to get something done in 3 minutes.
-- nickalicious (nickaliciou...), June 3rd, 2005.

this is great, but you have to miss the last minute of the song... or be a minute late

N_RQ, Saturday, 4 June 2005 16:56 (twenty-one years ago)

"Cookin' With Gas"

Mr. Snrub, Saturday, 4 June 2005 20:15 (twenty-one years ago)

Zimbabwe Legit often gets overlooked.

But I'd go for Lost & Found or the Bjork sampling/rollerskates one.

BTW, does anyone know where that sample of the girl talking about rollerskates comes from?

Tannenbaum Schmidt (Nik), Sunday, 5 June 2005 14:09 (twenty-one years ago)

"Bjork sampling/rollerskates one."

mutual slump - i'm just about to mail you a track you might find interesting Nik!
