Here's a link to a Rhapsody playlist featuring these songs if anyone cares.

i would have to go with Sunlandic Twins in the towering above all category.

to be honest I looked at my playlist of everything they've ever done and thought there would be many more songs from the later albums. I played Hissing Fauna to death in 2006/07 and rarely do now, but looking at the songs titles, I couldn't escape the fact it's their best album. I picked nothing from Skeletal Lamping, for example.
As I've probably said elsewhere, I'm mystified that isn't a more commonly held view that Innocence Reaches is their best album in years, but I don't believe there are any top ten songs it.

it completely mystifies me how anyone could regard 'innocence reaches' their best album in ages

great song. the last song on Hissing Fauna that I came around on, like five years after it came out. Such a great opening couplet:
She says I'm boring her cameraIt takes more to delight the cadaver
Very nice ease out of the record, love the vocal arrangement at the end.

I would only save like 3-4 tracks from the albums between Hissing Fauna and the psych-rock comeback albums (the two before the most recent one)

Hissing Fauna is blates their best album and anyone who says otherwise is a challops. that said, I had a lot of time for Skeletal Lamping at the time. I've not enjoyed a note of what came out after that.

oops
otm, Skeletal Lamping is the last one I liked. Great record, up there with Hissing Fauna.

I still think False Priest is their best album. While I get that more people enjoy Hissing Fauna, I continue to be baffled that nobody else thinks as highly of False Priest as I do.
