If you had to choose one of these, would it be:

Company Flow - Funcrusher Plus
Edan - Beauty and the Beat
Pharcyde - Bizarre Ride II

Mike Copeland, Saturday, 4 June 2005 02:15 (twenty-one years ago)

Pharcyde.

Forksclovetofu (Forksclovetofu), Saturday, 4 June 2005 02:20 (twenty-one years ago)

Seconding that.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Saturday, 4 June 2005 02:21 (twenty-one years ago)

you need a public enemy cd - "it takes a nation of millions to hold us back".

Of those three, Pharcyde first, although Funk Rusher Plus is pretty good, too.

I haven't heard the Edan.

Austin Still (Austin, Still), Saturday, 4 June 2005 02:28 (twenty-one years ago)

Pharcyde thirded. Or tertiated. Whatever. It's good.

xpost: Or quadrified, I guess. I give up.

John Justen (johnjusten), Saturday, 4 June 2005 02:30 (twenty-one years ago)

they're all basically phish jams.

s1ocki (slutsky), Saturday, 4 June 2005 02:32 (twenty-one years ago)

pretty different albums from different periods in rap, so it depends - what are you looking for?

i don't really like 'Beauty and the beat' although i've heard a lot of good things about it, but the other two are really great albums. i wouldn't know which one to choose.

Guy Incognito (Guy Incognito), Saturday, 4 June 2005 03:03 (twenty-one years ago)

Pharcyde.
I haven't heard that Edan, but loved Primitive Plus
xpost why didn't you like beauty and the beat? did you like Primitive +?

oops (Oops), Saturday, 4 June 2005 03:04 (twenty-one years ago)

well actually I'm not much of a Edan fan, I'm not sure why. haven't listened to much of Primitive+, though I like the song with Lif, 'Rapperfection'.

I think it's the beats I don't like.

Guy Incognito (Guy Incognito), Saturday, 4 June 2005 03:11 (twenty-one years ago)

Not Funcrusher Plus. I bought that one thinking it was the one I must own and was somewhat disappointed. I listen to pretty much zero hip hop these days, though, so...

Mickey (modestmickey), Saturday, 4 June 2005 03:46 (twenty-one years ago)

no respect for baltimore; edan is worth it just for 'beauty'. the only el-p I ever liked was cannibal ox The Cold Vein.

088motherfuckingb, Saturday, 4 June 2005 04:27 (twenty-one years ago)

PHARCYDE BITCHES AND HO'S

MONEY MONEY, NEED MO' MONEY

OF THE FLAVA CHAIN FO' LEEZY SPEEZY

Michael Costello (MichaelCostello1), Saturday, 4 June 2005 04:30 (twenty-one years ago)

funcrusher is great, but pharcyde is the kind of thing you'll probably want to break out at least once a month for the rest of your life.

el sabor de gene (yournullfame), Saturday, 4 June 2005 04:31 (twenty-one years ago)

Get Pharcyde, but if you want Def Jux, get Mr. Lif's "I Phantom"

paulhw (paulhw), Saturday, 4 June 2005 04:52 (twenty-one years ago)

Pharcyde. The other two = overrated

Will M. (Will M.), Saturday, 4 June 2005 07:34 (twenty-one years ago)

Definately the Pharcyde debut.

The Edan is decent, i guess, but the Company Flow album is trash.

Jimmy M, Saturday, 4 June 2005 09:35 (twenty-one years ago)

Edan.

Anthony Lombardi (CCPO), Saturday, 4 June 2005 12:58 (twenty-one years ago)

PHAR! CYDE!

kit brash (kit brash), Saturday, 4 June 2005 13:25 (twenty-one years ago)

pharcyde, then company flow, then edan - but get edan's first album, not that one.

ppp, Saturday, 4 June 2005 13:30 (twenty-one years ago)

Pharcyde first, then co-flow, then edan. The new one is good.

deej., Saturday, 4 June 2005 14:10 (twenty-one years ago)

Just get Funcrusher Plus and Edan, forget about the Pharcyde. They're overrated by white critics enough already. I found them lame, and unfunny.

Thom 1, Saturday, 4 June 2005 17:46 (twenty-one years ago)

You are one sick puppy.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Saturday, 4 June 2005 17:54 (twenty-one years ago)

Just get Funcrusher Plus and Edan, forget about the Pharcyde. They're overrated by white critics enough already. I found them lame, and unfunny.

The "white critics" comment is stupid as shit. Are you saying that black people dont like them? I should mention that to the black pharcyde fans i know.

deej., Saturday, 4 June 2005 17:57 (twenty-one years ago)

I mean sure white critics overrate things but i'm not sure why that was a neccessary comment. As if its supposed to discredit it or something (I feel corny defending the concept of the "white critic" but its still stupid)

(Also the pharcyde are great, and hilarious)

deej., Saturday, 4 June 2005 18:00 (twenty-one years ago)

one of my fave bits of lyrix ever:

your moms is so fat...how fat is she
your mamma is so big and fat that she can get busy
with 22 burrito's ...but times is tough
i seen her in the back of taco bell in handcuffs

toe-foo (toe-foo), Sunday, 5 June 2005 10:23 (twenty-one years ago)

Pharcyde, then Edan, then get The Cold Vein instead of Funcrusher.

Jetlag Willy (noodle vague), Sunday, 5 June 2005 10:26 (twenty-one years ago)

uhhh how is pharcyde the only one of those three overrated by white critics?!

dj, Sunday, 5 June 2005 12:16 (twenty-one years ago)

Yeah dj otm. toe-foo otm, too! Ya mama is hilarious.
