I'm far from convinced Jackson is guilty. Has there been a single hostile witness who didn't have a financial motive? In any case, based on the prosecution's case I'd be astonished if the jury returned a "guilty" verdict, but they will probably do some kind of wrist-slapping over the alcohol business, if the judge lets them.

I agree, I haven't seen anything particularly credible in the way of witnesses. I think the only real chance of a conviction over anything is for 'supply of liquor to a minor'.

apparently some taped interview with the kid got shown to the jury - the yapping lawyers on msnbc last night seemed to think it was pretty damning and credible stuff.

i'm just hoping he goes to jail so we can see pictures of him without the makeup, wigs and prosthetic nose. horror!

Not guilty for most of the reasons previously stated.

I'm interested to know how fans would deal with it if a guilty verdict is returned:

a. Maintain he is innocent and start a "Free Michael Jackson" campaign?
b. Stop listening to his music?
c. Only listen to albums up to Bad as he probably hadn't began his deviant ways then?
d. Continue to appreciate his music but recognise that he is an incredibly sad and troubled individual?

I find it oddly easy to imagine a bunch of young dudes let loose in MJ's mansion w/"NO RULES" getting into his liquor and porn, as it happens. As regards that one conviction. Verdict not guilty, w/rightwing people wringing their hands at the state of the justice system and vowing action
