This isn't the only album by Montclair NJ's Chinga Chavin, but it's certainly the most "well known." It was released originally in 1976(?) Anyway, Chinga Chavin's Country Porn is actually quite a well produced record for its time...(or at least the CD issue makes it sounds like it was) Musically, it doesn't really poke at any odd edges or anything, other than lean on the slightly (and i stress "slightly") rockin' side of mid 70s country. But you can easily see why, say, Jello Biafra, Mojo Nixon, or Rob Morgan of The Squirrels would/might like this record.
The track listing: * Talkin' Matamoros First Piece O' Ass Blues* Asshole From El Paso* Cum Stains On The Pillow* Head Boogie* Sit, Sit, Sit (Sit On My Face)* Dry Humping In The Back Of A Fifty-Five Ford* Get It On The Run* Tit Stop Rock* 4:00 A.M. Jump* Cum Unto Jesus (A Sacred Tune)
The CD has some live bonus tracks: "Bennies An' Beer", "No Sell-Out Too Small", "Jailbait", and "Scum Floats".. the latter of which not only kinda predicted late 70s/early 80s Alice Cooper, but also a bit of Rocket From The Crypt circa Scream Dracula Scream, lyrics aside of course.
But anyway, the guy wasn't out to make a hit record, and didn't really try to hide anything. You either liked it, or ran away screaming being horribly offended.. despite the music being someone catchy and nice.
Best part is the post script liner notes from Chinga Chavin himself on this CD issue (from Performance/Fruit Of The Tune 666):
PS: Concerning certain live tracks on this disc: I haven't the faintest fucking idea who is performing with me; however, I do remember that at least one of the pickers and a couple of the singers still owe me money, and I'm starting to get pissed...Chinga
...so, anyone else a fan of this record?

*checks liner notes for song writing credits*
Chavin is co-writer on all the songs.. sometimes alongside a Jacobs, Baker, or Hermann.. do those last names ring a bell? Are they aliases for Coe or Friedman?

There ARE horrible, evil racists in the world. It cheapens the epithet to apply it to a guy who put out some potty humor novelty records in the course of a 40-year career mainly focused on great songwriting.
