Dog Latin OTM. I Am Come is just soooooo good. THe opening maelstrom of seething noise is so glorious and life-affirming. I love the way it tests your endurance, but in a fun, rock n roll way, rather than a obnoxious, cold noise band assault style. You come out feeling like you've transformed into a 100ft high fire breathing lizard, ready to gleefully stomp your way through the city as the rest of the album blasts away.

Just got it and listened again and it's affirmed itself as the best heavy rock album of the year.

I got chucked out of a band about a month before they toured with Part Chimp :( They were apparently so loud that their ears bled.

I'm DJing after this.

I hope you like Killing Joke.

Doran, Friday, 13 February 2009 16:54 (seventeen years ago)

Early Killing Joke I like just fine. Not sure I'll be hanging around after the bands though.

thriller, their third, finally gets a release in september. i've lived with it since january, and cannot stop playing it. album of the year, probably, and a most brilliantly boody-minded pursuit of 'the riff'.

Doran, Tuesday, 18 August 2009 16:10 (sixteen years ago)

They said that they were going to call the album 'Dark Side Of The Moon' until someone suggested 'Thriller'.

Doran, Tuesday, 18 August 2009 16:17 (sixteen years ago)

three weeks pass...

Thriller is leaked, and it sounds awesome.
on the other hand, like other have said here, i thought I Am Come was awesome, but abandoned the ship a week or two afterwards.
time will tell.

Zeno, Friday, 11 September 2009 00:42 (sixteen years ago)

i'm still playing I Am Come on a regular basis, but Thriller is betterer
