do you like this album?

do you think it's too long?

do you think it is 2pac's best work?

what is your favourite track?

which disc do you prefer?

weasel diesel (K1l14n), Thursday, 11 August 2005 14:45 (twenty years ago)

yes

no

no, the don killuminati: the seven day theory is his best

my favourite track is "all about u" (tho they should've used the remix with snoop)

disc 2 is my favourite, it's unstoppable, "u can't c me", "holla at me", the amazing posse cut "check out time", "picture me rollin", "all eyez on me" ft the best verse on the entire album from big syke, ahh just life affirmingly classic.

So much trouble in the world, nigga
Can't nobody feel your pain
The world's changin everyday, times moving fast
My girl said I need a raise, how long will she last?
I'm caught between my woman, and my pistol, and my chips
Triple beam, got some smokers on, whistle as I dip
I'm lost in the land with no plan, livin life flawless
Crime boss, contraband, let me toss this
Needy hookers got a lot of nerve, let my bucket swerve
I'm takin off from the curb
The nervousness neglect make me pack a tec
Devoted to servin this, Moet and paaayyy-checks
Like Akai satellite nigga I'm forever ballin
It ain't right parasites triggers and fleas crawlin
Sucker duck and get busted, no emotion
My devotion is handlin my business nigga keep on coastin
Where you goin I been there came back as lonely homie
Steady flowin against the grain niggaz STILL don't know me
It's about the money in this rap shit, this crap shit
It ain't funny niggaz don't even know how to act - shit!
What can I do, what can I say, is there another way?
Blunts and gin all day, twenty-fo' parlay
My little homie G, can't you see, I'm busta free
Niggaz can't stand me - all eyes on me!

that formula where he talks in the intro and then the beat drops and then he start's rapping, gets old.

Aaron A., Thursday, 11 August 2005 15:41 (twenty years ago)

that formula where aaron a types anything into an ilm answer box and hits "submit", gets old.

Dud. Probably the most over-rated rapper of all time. The best thing Tupac ever did was his guest verse on Digital Underground's "Same Song." Now THAT was a good song.

Tupac is pretty bad. This album is just like all of his cliched dross. Dud.

paulhw (paulhw), Thursday, 11 August 2005 19:19 (twenty years ago)

Me Against The World.

Zed Szetlian (Finn MacCool), Thursday, 11 August 2005 19:52 (twenty years ago)

classic if only for "how do you want it" with that monstrous bassline/synth-riff combo. i keep meaning to buy this

amon (eman), Thursday, 11 August 2005 20:17 (twenty years ago)

Classic. He's not my favorite rapper but people saying things like 'most overrated ever' are sort of obnoxious to me.

deej.., Thursday, 11 August 2005 20:55 (twenty years ago)

haha i cant believe dude named beatles fan said it for but yeah classic top 10 of the 90s especially disc 2 outlawz posse cut etc etc but not his best cd and not makaveli either its ME AGAINST THE WORLD!!

3, Thursday, 11 August 2005 21:01 (twenty years ago)

i meant 'said it for me'- but yeah good look

3, Thursday, 11 August 2005 21:03 (twenty years ago)

but yeah all eyez is better than makaveli cuz it works as a party album or just for ridin or as some lyrical headphones shit, makaveli is really just those last 2 cept the singles

3, Thursday, 11 August 2005 21:04 (twenty years ago)

and yeah me against the world is possibly too slow and sad for a party album (pac claims that jive only chose positive cuts so he had alot of nihilistic shit on his next 2 cds) but its the one i listen to most

3, Thursday, 11 August 2005 21:06 (twenty years ago)

but yeah but yeah but yeah haha

3, Thursday, 11 August 2005 21:06 (twenty years ago)

What do you think of Strictly 4 my niggaz?

deej.., Thursday, 11 August 2005 21:07 (twenty years ago)

yeah yeah yeahs?

deej.., Thursday, 11 August 2005 21:07 (twenty years ago)

clap your hands and say yeah?

deej.., Thursday, 11 August 2005 21:07 (twenty years ago)

i think 2pacalypse now is more lyrical if you wanna talk about his early albums but strictly kills it as far as beats and the guests, really just get them both

3, Thursday, 11 August 2005 21:34 (twenty years ago)

my favourite track is 'life goes on'. i like the drunk sentimentality. i also like that breathy paranoid one with the twinkly piano half way through disc one.

weasel diesel (K1l14n), Thursday, 11 August 2005 21:38 (twenty years ago)

Heaven ain't hard to find (doo-doo-doo-doo-dooo)

deej.., Thursday, 11 August 2005 21:40 (twenty years ago)

two years pass...

I think it's a classic.

Yes, it is a bit too long (and it loses a bit of steam at the end) but for a while, solid track after solid track passes by...I think the only song I'm not real big on on the first disc is "How Do You Want It"...

and "Hollah At Me" rules.

Bo Jackson Overdrive, Thursday, 3 January 2008 02:10 (eighteen years ago)

oh and Strictly 4 My Niggaz is awesome.

Bo Jackson Overdrive, Thursday, 3 January 2008 02:10 (eighteen years ago)

wtf @ haters

BIG HOOS aka the steendriver, Thursday, 3 January 2008 02:42 (eighteen years ago)

anybody else really dig "I Got My Mind Made Up"? I really like Daz and Method Man's verses.

Bo Jackson Overdrive, Thursday, 3 January 2008 02:43 (eighteen years ago)

"how do u want it" is possibly my favorite song on both discs

Tracer Hand, Thursday, 3 January 2008 05:45 (eighteen years ago)

you have to imagine getting a blowjob for it to really work though

Tracer Hand, Thursday, 3 January 2008 05:45 (eighteen years ago)

of course any song can be improved with this method

Tracer Hand, Thursday, 3 January 2008 05:56 (eighteen years ago)

too long yes, but classic all the same.

me against the world is still the best tupac album though.

titchyschneiderMk2, Thursday, 3 January 2008 11:48 (eighteen years ago)

I would pick "Strictly 4 My N.I.G.G.A.Z."

The Reverend, Thursday, 3 January 2008 12:29 (eighteen years ago)

My favourite hip-hop album. Mainly because of the production and backing track. Might have preferred it without the rapping, but I used to love the G-funk sound, which was probably the closest the 90s ever got to 80s influenced electro.

Geir Hongro, Thursday, 3 January 2008 12:43 (eighteen years ago)

Might have preferred it without the rapping

Can I get a copy of Kind of Blue without the trumpet please.

Bo Jackson Overdrive, Thursday, 3 January 2008 12:57 (eighteen years ago)

I am sorry, but you can get a copy of most reggae albums without the vocals.

Geir Hongro, Thursday, 3 January 2008 13:15 (eighteen years ago)

same for rap albums, they sell the instrumental copies all the time for those who want to do mash-ups.

just thought it odd that you didn't want the rap on a rap album.

Bo Jackson Overdrive, Thursday, 3 January 2008 13:20 (eighteen years ago)

The best of all would probably be to replace it with some vocals instead, by a nice singer such as Lionel Richie or Seal. :)

Geir Hongro, Thursday, 3 January 2008 13:22 (eighteen years ago)

Yeah, I've always thought All Eyez on Me would be better if it were by Lionel Richie. Glad to find out I'm not the only one.

The Reverend, Thursday, 3 January 2008 13:38 (eighteen years ago)

i always wanted to hear it with lighthouse family.

veryloggedout, Thursday, 3 January 2008 16:05 (eighteen years ago)
